Responsible for driving sales through new business, Jonathan identifies new business opportunities both in the UK and Europe as well as looking after existing customers in these areas. He also works with Kevin targeting and developing export opportunities in Asia to secure future financial growth.
‘Exploring emerging markets’
Jonathan has been working in the meat industry since 1997 after leaving school and heading into the family butchery business in East Harling. He’s worked his way from the bottom to the top, from sweeping floors and day to day butchery to becoming 50% owner with his father in later years. Since starting C&K Meats in 2014, he enjoys discovering new sectors and exploring emerging markets, finding new customers and establishing new relationships in the UK and Europe as well as further afield in Asia. He cares deeply about his customers, ensuring they receive products of exceptional quality and their customer service expectations are met. In his view, a happy customer is a repeat customer. What does he love about C&K Meats? He loves his job and the people he works with. The fact that the business is family owned and operated, provenance driven with a diverse customer base, propels him to deliver more.
‘Norwich City all the way’
Outside of work, he’s a keen Norwich City supporter and season ticket holder. He also runs a local youth football team and loves spending time with his family and children.
Ask him what his favourite meat dish is…the answer is a tender and flavoursome piece of fillet steak served with Stilton sauce and Dauphinoise potatoes.
